Preach His Love

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved (John 3:17).

In our quest to preach the Gospel, God desires that we express and manifest His love and compassion to the hurting and dying in our world. We're the oasis of His love in a harsh and cruel world. The world is already without hope, being alienated from the God-life (Ephesians 4:18); thus, we need to communicate the Gospel to the people to the world in love. We need to bring them words of love and compassion.

When you preach Christ, preach His love-don't condemn anyone. The judgements of God are real, but don't judge anyone. The judgmental message doesn't produce lasting results. It's His love message that works. Whenever the children of Israel sinned in the Old Testament, the bore the brunt of judgement with God. This made them terrified, such that even when God wanted to speak to them, they were sore afraid and would rather that Moses spoke to them in God's stead: "And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die."(Exodus 20:19).

These things were written for us to learn that the love-way is the only way. Love motivated the Father to give His most priceless gift-His Son-to die for the sins of men. It wasn't judgement, condemnation or destruction, but His unfailing and unconditional love that compelled Him to reach out and deliver humanity from the bondage of sin and eternal condemnation. So, preach the Father's love!

1 Corinthians 1:18 says "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God." Until you deliberately change the content of your communication and act accordingly to reflect Jesus, your preaching won't be impactful. In Roman 5:8, the Bible says "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for demonstrating your love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. I go forth today to preach your unfailing and unconditional love to those who will receive the Gospel through me today, impacting them with the abundance of your love that's been shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Possessor Of All Things!

Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours (1 Corinthians 3:21).

The latter part of the verse of scripture above is a present-hour reality; it's not a promise. A Christian is a possessor; he's not someone who's trying to have. This is very important, and it's one truth you must hold on to for your faith to be as effective as it should.

Something you need to understand about the subject of faith is that faith is NOW. It doesn't look forward to the blessings of God coming to pass; it possesses. So in walking by faith, you're not hoping or believing to have anything, for you already possess all things. You're not expecting anything from God, for all things have been made available to you in Christ Jesus.

Many people express hope and wonder why there's been no change in their situation. Faith is what works; not hope. Hope is futuristic, while faith is of the present. Hope says "I believe for a miracle" but faith says "I have a miracle!" There's a great difference between the two. You're already a believer, and that makes you a possessor: "He that believeth... hath...!" (John 3:36). So stop waiting for God to do something about your case; take what is yours.

Don't wait; take your healing now. Take that job. That miracle you thought would happen last year but didn't happen, because you were "believing God" for it, failed, because believing is not faith, and faith is not believing! Stop saying, "I believe I will receive my healing someday," say, "I have divine health, therefore I refuse to be sick." That's what the Word says: "And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity" (Isaiah 33:24).

CONFESSION
I refuse to struggle for anything because all things are mine! I'm a possessor of all things because I'm the seed of Abraham. My faith is producing results for me today as I act on the Word. I'm walking in the reality of who I am in Christ--an heir of God, and a joint heir with Christ, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Trelan's notes:
Please don't misunderstand the context in which Pastor Chris speaks of belief. He said "believing" in reference to "hoping".  Meaning the belief is not immediate, firm nor combined with receiving the desired end result spiritually.
Faith requires you seeing yourself as having received the desired results right this second, giving thanks for (, endorsing) it and behaving that way.

Take The Land, Giants And All!

There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them (Joshua 1:5-6).

Caleb was one of the twelve spies Moses sent to spy out the land of Canaan. When they returned, ten of them had an evil faithless report about the land. But Caleb and Joshua spoke by faith. God rewarded Caleb's faith by promising to give him a portion of the land as an inheritance. This land, as we would later discover in Joshua 14, was no ordinary land, but one occupied by giants.

God has called you to a life of endless testimonies. Nevertheless, He doesn't give you "free lands" to conquer; He gives you lands with giants. Some Christians don't seem to like this idea; they wish they could just go on in life everyday without having to face any trouble. But God only allows troubles to come to you because He knows they're like an exam; they challenge your faith and overcoming them leads to your promotion.

Caleb overcame his challenges by faith. The Bible tells us how forty-five years later after God made the promise to him, at the age of eighty-five, Caleb took his land and drove out the giants from it (Joshua 15:14).

When you encounter troubles in your walk of faith, the Lord expects you to face them squarely and overcome them. Refuse to fear or worry, for anxiety never works. Instead, be strong and courageous. Be confident of the fact that the anointing of God is on your life and that anointing will make you bold, fearless, and courageous, and your life will be a story of victory all the way.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for giving me the needed courage to stand strong in the midst of contrary situations. I'm fired-up by your Spirit today to see every challenge I face as an opportunity for promotion. I take on these challenges and win, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Psalm 103- So Beautiful...

Sometimes you need to remind your soul(mind, will and emotions) to bless the Lord.
Always speak to your soul, using the Word of God.

King James Version

<<A Psalm of David.>>
1Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
4Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
6The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
7He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
8The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
9He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
10He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
11For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
12As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
13Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.
14For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
15As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
16For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
17But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;
18To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.
19The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
20Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
21Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
22Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.

Take Charge!

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith (1 John 5:4).

When you study the life of Jesus and the way He responded to different circumstances, you'll discover He was always in charge. His language was that of faith and absolute mastery. He was always in control; unperturbed by anything. His words were faith-filled, and He displayed an attitude of rest in the midst of turmoil. This is the life He's given us; a life of absolute mastery, where you cease from all worries and express faith unperturbed.

You must learn to be unruffled or unperplexed regardless of what happens around you! Take charge. Act like Jesus, who remained unmoved when He was told in John 11:3, "...Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick."  The Master wasn't moved by the news of Lazarus' sickness; He remained unflustered even after He was told that Lazarus had died and had been buried for four days. He was in charge.

When Jesus eventually showed up, Mary and Martha at different occasions and said "Lord if you'd been here, Lazarus, our brother wouldn't have died." I am often thrilled at the Master's response. With neither regret nor fret in His voice, He said, "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:  And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die..." (John 11:25-26). What confidence; when others were extremely confused and agitated!

How I love Jesus; nothing could shake Him! Relaxed, He stood at the entrance of the sepulchre, uttered a simple prayer of thanks to the Father, and called out: "Lazarus, come forth!" The man that had been dead for four days, came out alive (John 11:41-44). That was faith, functioning from a place of rest and absolute mastery.

Faith recognize no fear, because it trust in the ability of God. When you're faced with challenges, don't cower or become frightful or fretful. Be in charge. All through this year, irrespective of what happens around you; even if you receive negative news from afar, maintain your composure and declare God's Word. Take charge. Refuse to worry; just give the word and effect a change. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for the power of your Word which causes me to function from a place of rest and mastery over all situations. I live victoriously over all distracting elements of this world in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Jesus Is The Christ

When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God (Matthew 16:13-16).

Just like the disciples back in Bible days, there're many today who don't know Jesus as the Christ. They merely see Him as the great prophet. Some see Him as the great teacher, while some others see Him as the great healer. But Jesus is all that and much more. He is "the Christ."

The word "Christ" is from the Greek word "Christos," which refers to the Messiah or the anointed One, and His anointing. So contrary to what some folks believe, "Christ" is not Jesus' surname; instead it refers to the anointing that makes Him who He is. The anointing empowered Him supernaturally for His earthly ministry.

Remember, though He was Himself God, He ministered as the son of man while He was on earth. But the anointing came into His life when the Holy Spirit came upon Him at the River Jordan (John 1:32-33), and that was when He became "the Christ." He didn't perform a single miracle until the anointing of the Holy Spirit came upon Him and made Him "the Christ." The anointing gave Him the ability to do the mighty works He did.

The Bible says "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him" (Acts 10:38). The same anointing that made Jesus "the Christ" came into your life when you received salvation. When the Holy Spirit came into your life, you became anointed and divinely enabled; you too have been endued with supernatural abilities.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for granting me the revelation of Jesus as the Christ. I also thank you for helping me realize that the same anointing that made Jesus the Christ is at work in me; therefore I have inherent supernatural ability to effect changes and do great things, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Paul's Prayer For The Church at Ephesus...

(Excellent prayer for the believer)

Ephesians 1:16-23

King James Version (KJV)

 16Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
17That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ephesians 1:16-23

Amplified Bible (AMP)

16I do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers.
17[For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him,
18By having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (His set-apart ones),
19And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength,
20Which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places],
21Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come.
22And He has put all things under His feet and has appointed Him the universal and supreme Head of the church [a headship exercised throughout the church],
23Which is His body, the fullness of Him Who fills all in all [for in that body lives the full measure of Him Who makes everything complete, and Who fills everything everywhere with Himself].

The Grace-Advantage!

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen (2 Peter 3:18).

The grace-advantage is the power of promotion. It brings acceptability, honor and dignity into your life such that others see the beauty and excellence of God in you. The grace of God has been made available to everyone of us in abundance (Ephesians 4:7); it's the lifting power of God that attracts the right people, materials and resources you need to function in God's destiny for your life. As one who's graced of God, there's a divine about you that attracts good to you. Even in challenging situations, that grace gives you the advantage and causes you to rise above every adversity.

Never struggle to be accepted at work, in school, at home or anywhere; you have the grace-advantage. All you need is to recognize and be strong in the grace of God: "Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus." (2 Timothy 2:1). To be strong in the grace of God is to be conscious of, and take advantage of it! You're the seed of Abraham; therefore the grace for prosperity is working in you twenty-four hours a day! That grace puts you ahead and positions you for success like it did for Isaac, who sowed in a time of famine and reaped a hundredfold harvest in the same year (Genesis 26:12-13).

Even as the world battles a downturn, with major economies failing, you still have the advantage because you're a child of grace. That why the Bible says "When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up..." (Job 22:29). That's because you have the grace-advantage; a lifting power that causes your life to move from glory to glory.

CONFESSION
Dear Father, thank you for giving me the grace-advantage. Excellence, glory, virtue and success exude from me today because of your grace that's at work in me. Everywhere I go today, I'm accepted and highly favoured, for I carry your divine presence with me. I'm growing in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!
