Never Talk Fear!

And my worst fears have all come true (Job 3:25).

Many have erroneously thought it was God who permitted satan to buffet Job and make him suffer so he would be humble. That’s not true! Job’s fear was his undoing! He created a platform for satan to come in and mess things up in his life by voicing his fears. Job was a man whom God had greatly blessed and protected. Satan knew this, for he said, “hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? Thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land” (Job 1:10).

Satan had hitherto tried to attack Job and found that the man was heavily fortified by God; there was a spiritual hedge of protection around him. How then did satan gain access through that hedge to attack Job? Our opening scripture reveals what happened: Job allowed the spirit of fear to take a hold of his heart! Despite God’s protection over his life, which even satan attested to, Job lamented, “…the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came” (Job 3:25-26). Hence God said to satan “See, all that he has is in your power…

Job’s problem was his fear, and fear hinders faith. Fear is actually negative faith; it’s a demonstration of faith in the ability of the adversary to hurt you. And according to the scriptures, God doesn’t alter His Word. The moment Job started talking his fears, he was digging holes in the protective hedge God had built around him. Ecclesiastes 10:8 says, “... whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.” Job delivered his goods to satan through the perverseness of his lips—by talking and acting fear.

Never talk fear or give voice to words inspired by fear. Continually fill your heart with the Word of God, “for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” (Matthew 12:34). When you fill your heart with the Word, your mouth will of necessity speak from the rich deposit of the Word in your spirit.

CONFESSION
Heavenly Father, I thank you for giving me the spirit of love, power and a sound mind! I declare that fear has no place in me. My mouth is filled today with faith-filled words by which I create circumstances which are consistent with the new creation life I have in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Don't Yield to "The Accuser"

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. (Revelation 12:10)

One of the devil's key strategies of keeping people in bondage is constantly reminding them of their past. He'll haunt them with the thoughts and pictures of all the wrong things they ever did. Sometimes he may even tell you how useless you are and give you more than enough reasons you would fail in life.

God's calling upon your life was clearly stated before the world began: He determined you would be a success in life. Therefore, you shouldn't allow the devil to give you a bad day through his railing accusations. Remember that one of his titles is "the accuser of the brethren," and he's an expert at it because he's been at it a long time.

However, when the devil keeps bringing pictures to your mind of all the supposed evil you did in the past and the terrible life you once lived, remind him that you're a new creation, and therefore has no past: "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new"(2 Corinthians 5:17). Never yield to the devil's accusation; even when you do something wrong, rather than brood over it and wish you were never born, act on the Word that says "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).

In Romans 6:14, God says, "sin shall not have dominion over you." So if you do something wrong, don't let it have dominion over you. Don't stay there wishing your world would come to an end. Ask the Lord to forgive you and He will. Understand that God loves you. He loved you before the world began--ever before you had enough sence to do what's right or wrong. His love for you is unconditional and everlasting!

If the devil reminds you of your past, remind him of his future: "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever" (Revelation 20:10). Refuse to be weighed down by the failures of your past, and begin to declare your glorious future in Christ Jesus.

CONFESSION
I am a new creation in Christ Jesus, purged from sin and cleansed from all unrighteousness! I refuse to be moved by the devil's railing accusations, knowing that I'm the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and there's therefore now no condemnation unto me. Hallelujah.

He Restores 'Wasted Years'

And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm...(Joel 2:25)

It excites me to know the Lord can restore to you even that which you seem to have lost; He's the restorer of wasted years. No human being or government may ever be able to give back to you what you've lost, but God can! He can bring back everything and more!

What is that thing you may have thought you lost? Perhaps you thought you messed things up so bad they couldn't be rectified; or you looked at your life and thought you've wasted so much time without making progress. I bring you good news today: it's not over yet! God is willing and able to restore you to the place of your dream and destiny in Him.

What you need is to recognize that the Holy Spirit living in you is a restorer! In one sweep, He can move you a hundred paces forward, far ahead of your competitors, detractors and adversaries. Those who seemed to have gotten ahead of you would be amazed to see how things have turned around for you in a moment of time! Learn to trust the Spirit of God to lead and guide you in life. He knows how to make something beautiful out of your life, and restore the wasted years- the wasted time, resources, money etc.

Perhaps on your job you were given an assignement and you wasted the resources assigned to you; or maybe you're a student, and you've wasted so much time at the expense of your studies; relax! You can trust the Holy Spirit to restore all that you've lost! He can do it, and He will if only you'll call on Him! If any of these describes your situation, say, "Holy Spirit, I'm sorry I messed things up, but I ask you to come to my aid and restore to me that which I have lost! I receive that divine restoration now; in Jesus' Name."

Now, act like someone who has received the answer to that prayer, and launch out in faith, trusting the Lord who specializes in restoring wasted years.

PRAYER
Dear Lord, I rejoice to know that you're more than able to restore to me the things I have lost over the years, knowing that nothing is irredeemable, for you're the restorer of all things! Therefore I'm not behind in life, as the Holy Spirit living in me gives me the wisdom and understanding to put things right, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Psalm 23 (AMPLIFIED)

Psalm 23

A Psalm of David.
1THE LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.
2He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters.(A)
3He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him--not for my earning it, but] for His name's sake.
4Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.
5You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with [a]oil; my [brimming] cup runs over.
6Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place.

Stand Your Ground In Faith!

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.(Joshua 1:9)

Irrespective of the challenges that may come your way, you must learn to stand your ground in faith, knowing that your faith is the victory that overcomes the world. Never allow what you hear or see with your physical eyes cause you to lose heart and start voicing fear; stand your ground and keep talking your way to victory.

Some Christians lose heart and allow fear to take a hold of them upon hearing the lies and evil reports of the enemy. The enemy will always seek to put fear in your heart by constantly bombarding your mind with negative thoughts. But irrespective of the negative thoughts or pictures He brings to your mind, refuse to fear, and refuse to speak negatively. Do what Caleb and Joshua did; out of the twelve spies Moses sent to spy out Canaan, only the two of them stood their ground in faith. They said concerning the giants "
...for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not" (Numbers 14:9). That's the voice of faith, and faith is what gives you the victory. In Mark 9:23 Jesus said, "if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth." Never give up or give in. Keep the switch of faith turned on, for faith never fails!

Our faith-filled words in the power of the Holy Spirit always prevail. When you find yourself in an uncomfortable position, don't fret; don't fear; don't despair! Speak words of faith. When things don't seem to be working out right, don't say "Oh, God, why me?" Instead, refuse to be discouraged; stand your ground in faith and keep the victory shout on!

CONFESSION
I'm a victor in Christ Jesus. Fear, doubt and unbelief have no place in me, for my faith in God and His eternal Word is the victory that overcomes the world! I refuse to be discouraged because greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world!

Learn To Minister To The Lord

As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them (Acts 13:2).

It's easy to understand what it means for the Holy Spirit to minister to people but not too many people understand what it means to minister to the Lord. To minister to the Lord is to worship Him; to exalt His name in praise and adoration; Bring Him an offering; and make confessions of His Word to His Name.

Certain prophets and teachers ministered to the Lord and fasted, and as they did, the Holy Spirit ministered back to them and it resulted in the first missionary journey of Paul and Barnabas. They were able to hear and receive directions from the Spirit of God because they had first ministered to the Lord and fasted. How important it is to minister to the Lord!

In ministering to the Lord, the first thing you must do is give Him all your attention (Proverbs 4:20). You have to set out time to minister to Him. Next, you speak words that extol His magesty. One of the synonyms of the word minister is worship. You should begin praising Him for specific things. Don't just say "I praise you Lord." Instead say things like, "I praise you for making your Word real to me." Praise Him with understanding.

When you constantly fellowship with the Lord this way, the Holy Spirit will direct you in the affairs of your life, and you'll always know what to do in every situation. You won't be in the dark about anything in life for the Lord Jesus has said, "I am the light or the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life" (John 8:12).

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for giving me the wonderful privelege to fellowship with you and minister to you from my spirit. You've made my life beautiful and put a new song in my mouth. You've made me a wonder to my generation and for this, I praise your holy Name and extol your majesty, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

You Can Live Above Sickness

He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered [them] from their destructions (Psalm 107:20).

The human body was formed by God in a way that nothing could harm it. Man was made to live long and free of sickness, disease or anything that hurts. However, Adam's fall introduced death into the fabric of everything in the world. "Death" doesn't only imply the cessation of life; it also means "to fail," "to be damaged" and to "fade away."

Thus Adam's fall introduced failure and damage to the world. Man, who was created in God's image, could now fall sick. His heart, blood, liver, kidney etc., could now fail. When Jesus came however, He defeated the devil and his cohorts and seized the keys of hell and death.

The Bible says in 1 John 3:8, "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil." After He destroyed the hold of sin and death over your life, He then declared, "...sin shall not have dominion over you"(Romans 6:14)! Meaning therefore that sin and all its negative effects such as sickness, failure, poverty, and death ought not to have any power over you.

The Lord Jesus has given us the victory over the enemy. The reason some folks are still living in bondage to the devil is lack of knowledge. God said "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge" (Hosea 4:6). Refuse to be in bondage to sickness, disease or the devil. You can change that negative situation by stirring up the power of the Holy Ghost in you. The more of the power of the Holy Ghost you stir up by speaking in other tongues, the less of the things of this world that will be able to manifest in your life.

CONFESSION
My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, I live above sickness, disease, infirmity and death. I have the life of God in me; my life is for the glory of God. I'm a victor in Christ Jesus; no weapon fashioned against me shall prosper.

Romans 8

Romans 8
New International Version

Life Through the Spirit

1Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,a 2because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. 3For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature,b God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering.c And so he condemned sin in sinful man,d 4in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit.

5Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6The mind of sinful mane is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; 7the sinful mindf8Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God. is hostile to God. It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.

9You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. 10But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. 11And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.

12Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation—but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. 13For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, 14because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship.g And by him we cry, “Abba,h Father.” 16The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

Future Glory

18I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. 20For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21thati the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.

22We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. 24For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? 25But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

26In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. 27And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.

More Than Conquerors

28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,j whok have been called according to his purpose. 29For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

31What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36As it is written:

“For your sake we face death all day long;

we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”

37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,m neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

A Divine Exchange!

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption (1 Corinthians 1:30)

According to the scripture above, Christ Jesus has been made unto us righteousness. When God looks at us who believe in Jesus, He sees us as righteous, because Jesus has become our righteousness. He was delivered unto death for our offences, and was raised back to life for our justification (Romans 4:25).

Isaiah 53:5-6 says, "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all..." Jesus bore all the pain, shame, torture on your account. He took upon Himself all what you were supposed to suffer so you won't have to go through them anymore. What a glorious divine exchange! He took your place of sin that you might obtain His righteousness: "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him"(2 Corinthians 5:21).

God didn't make him a sinner; rather, He made Him the very embodiment of sin, so that you would become the righteousness of God in Him! Your righteousness is the righteousness of Christ. Little wonder the inspiring words of the Prophet Jeremiah: "In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS" (Jeremiah 23:6)

You're as righteous as Jesus is righteous! He has made you the very expression of His righteousness. This isn't something you attained by yourself, it was given to you as a gift (Romans 5:17). Isaiah 54:17 also underscores this glorious divine exchange: "...This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. "

PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for sending Jesus to bear my sins, and present me holy and unblameable before you! I thank you for making Christ Jesus, who knew no sin, for me that I might not only receive righteousness, but become the expression and epitome of your righteousness, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Rhapsody of Realities March 1st, 2011

Trelan's notes:

Pastor Chris showed us that though we were not righteous on our own accord, we were made the very Righteousness Of God, by his grace.
But what does that mean, exactly? Righteousness means the very rightness of God. It is the ability to be right itself.
You know how people often say "God can do all things"? Well that's not exactly true... Shocking? Well there is one thing God cannot do: God cannot lie. If he lies about anything it will automatically become true! He is God! His Word creates. He is right only.

So how does His rightness become yours? Through grace. He has allowed you to give yourself over to him, exchanging your flawed 'self' for His Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth.
As a result, if you've made a mistake or done a wrong, you can ask his forgiveness in contrition, and reap his forgiveness instead of the a harvest of destruction.

Some people think that judgement occurs only after they leave the earlthy realm, but your words and actions produce a sowing and reaping effect. Some cultures call it "karma".
"But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment"(Matthew 12:36).
The "day of judgement" is that day when "the chickens have come home to roost"; the day when the actions you've been taking, regarding a specific thing, creates a natural reaction, good or bad.

Reaping destruction is what you would be subjected to had you not become the righteousness of God. So when you're caught in the middle of harsh circumstances, it is your duty to declare: "I am the righteousness of God! I have the life of God in me! No weapons fashioned against me shall prosper!"
By becoming His righteousness, you now have the ability to change circumstances like God does. Isn't that awesome? Bless God!

Joyful Confessions

"We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; "(2 Corinthians 4:13).

For the divine provisions of the Gospel made available to you in Christ Jesus to become your vital experience in life, you must acknowlege what God has done for you and in you, and confess it. Many live beggarly lives, far below their calling because they don't know how to make these "joyful confessions." A joyful confession is declaring what God has said about you; rejoicing over who you are, what you have and what you can do in Christ, and confessing it!

Others may say you're boasting when you joyfully confess God's Word about you, but it makes no difference. You're what God says you are! 2 Corinthians 8:9, "For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich." Then 1Corinthians 3:21 says "Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours." Also, 1Peter 2:24 says "
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed."

Thus, on the basis of these scriptures, you ought to make joyful confessions and say "I refuse to be broke, poor or sick!" Say this today and every day; make it your language. Remember, Jesus said you shall have what you say (Mark 11:23). Therefore keep talking right! Learn how to use your mouth to take possession of that which is already yours in Christ Jesus. Keep declaring who you are in Christ. Testify to what God has done for you, in you and through you!

The Psalmist said "I believe therefore have I spoken" and in our opening scripture we read that
"We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; " That's because our confessions rule us. So keep making those joyful confessions of God's Word that reveal your identity, ability and inheritance in Christ Jesus.

CONFESSION
I am what God says I am; His ability, grace and power are working in me and through me mightily today! I have what God says I have, and can do what God says I can do. His Word to me is reality, and that's the basis for which I know I'll never be poor, sick, broke or defeated!

Snatched from twitter: The Law of Agreement

On Tuesday 15th March 2011, said:
Friends, no one, ABSOLUTELY no one, can cause you to fail or hurt you unless you allow/accept it.

I know this statement may cause an outrage because you might be thinking "so when so and so did such and such to me you're saying it's MY fault?" No and yes. Friends, there is a spiritual state I like to call "the law of agreement". It goes this way: whatsoever you allow/agree with/accept, you get.
You can agree with something by reacting defensively to an attack(like a verbal threat, or a doctor's report that you've got cancer... etc); or you can mull it over, seeing yourself in a position beneath it; you can verbally agree with someone about it. What you've done there is given that thing power to conquer you, but if you're ignorant of this, I can't say it's your fault. I can only show you otherwise.

Before you go "ah pshaa! I don't believe that!", consider that Jesus taught on this principle:
"Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven."(Matthew 18:18-19)

Spiritually when you accept something(verbally and with your mind & belief), you loosed it on earth. Conversly, when you've refused something spiritually(via speaking against it, refuse to consider its "presence"-going about your life like it never showed up, laughing at it etc) you've bound it on earth(physically).

Jesus was a master at this. Notice how he verbally rebuked the storm as if it were a person. All things you encounter physically had its start spiritually. Therefore refusing to give it credence spiritually(and physically!) you're cutting it off at the root.

Notice Jesus also taught that agreement(two or more people agreeing on (the state of )a specific thing, God has set a process in place that allows it to manifest.

Folks acceptance, belief, allowance are all forms of agreement. You get what you accept and not what you don't.
Refuse to allow negative imaginations, circumstances, past pain, negative people & media around you to build boundaries in your mind. Refuse to accept failure and destruction. Accept only thoughts of empowerment and life!

Your Set Time To Dream Big

And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more (Genesis 37:5).

There're no laws in heaven or on earth against dreaming big. So, as a Christian, you're at liberty to dream, and dream big. Let your dream of success be big enough for God to get involve with it. Let your dreams be such that'll require the power of God to accomplish. That's why I love the man Joseph in the Bible. As a young lad, his dreams were out of this world! Though his brothers hated him for all his extraordinary dreams of greatness, he kept on dreaming and telling them about his dreams.

A man with a big dream can attract God's attention. That's why even in prison, Joseph kept rising to the top. He eventually became the prime minister of Egypt and preserved both Egypt and several other nations from famine. It's time for you to dream and dream big. It's a decision you must make. Dream big for your finances, family, job or business.

Make sure your vision for success is big enough to require the supernatural element! Stretch your vision. If you were planning to start out of a small shop, go ahead, but begin to dream of owning a mall. Refuse to put your mind to sleep; keep dreaming! See yourself doing big things. Have a different way of thinking. Your heavenly Father is big, and his resources are limitless. Not only is He able to cause your visions of success to come to pass, He's more willing and enthusiastic about your success than you could ever be.

CONFESSION
My mind is continually open to recieve new ideas. I refuse to see myself small in life, for the God I serve is the limit-breaker! I see my greatness, my increase and my influence bursting forth on every side in the name of Jesus! Amen.

Get Full Of The Holy Ghost!

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God (Ephesians 5:18-21).

Having received the Holy Spirit after you're born again, there's a day-to-day or continual infilling of the Spirit that you must experience in order to live the higher life of glory to which you've been called.

The latter part of our opening scripture lets us know what to do to be filled with the Spirit like this: you'll have to speak to yourself in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs! You'll have to consciously talk, sing, and make melody of the Word in your heart to the Lord! You'll have to give thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, and submit yourself to others in hloy reverence. Making this a conscious and consistent practice is how to be full of the Spirit all the time.

When you let the Holy Spirit work through you and you're overflowing with His fullness, you won't need to try to muster boldness to say or do things. You won't need to try to stir up some power in the face of adversity. Whenever you open your mouth to speak the wisdom of God; words that are divinely inspired, because you're full of the Holy Ghost.

If you want the glory of God to be seen in your life; if you want to walk in dominion over the devil, sickness, disease, infirmities and death, then you must consciously and consistently practice being filled with the Holy Spirit. Make this a personal goal everyday of this year, and the challenges that may come your way will be walkovers for you. Nothing will be impossible unto you. You'll be able to change hopeless situations because you're full of the Holy Ghost and power.

CONFESSION
I'm full of power and dominion and nothing is impossible unto me! I function by the power of the Spirit today, in wisdom, and I have perfect understanding of all things, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Get "The World" Out Of You!

If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you (John 15:19).

The day you were born again you became a brand new person: "Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creation: Old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17). From that point, you were called out of the world and its system and transferred into God's Kingdom. However, though you've been taken out of the world as it were, you've got to get the world out of you. Let me give you a simple example.

Imagine a street urchin who meets a wealthy aristocrat. Upon seeing him, the aristocrat sympathizes with him, and then takes him into his wealthy household to live with him. For the first few weeks or even months, that street guy will be uneasy around the spotless and sparkling house of the aristocrat. At the dining table for instance, he wont know what piece of cutlery to use. That means though he has been taken off the streets, the life of the streets is still in him and he must now be re-oriented and trained to think like a noble person.

This is the same way it is for some folks: though God has saved them and brought them into the Kingdom, their minds still retain information from the world, hence they've come into the Kingdom with a lot of the world in them as it were. This is why the Bible says "Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind" (Romans 12:2). Through the transforming power of His Word, God is able to get everything of the world out of you and give you a new way of thinking.

This is also the reason we pray, for through prayer, your spirit is reprogrammed and conditioned in a way that positions you rightly for the God-life.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for calling me out of the world into your glorious Kingdom! And I thank you for the day-to-day renewal of my mind and transformation of my soul and spirit through your Word. Today, as I fellowship with you through prayer and study of your Word, I am encouraged to think more like Jesus. Amen.

Your Set Time To Laugh!

He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision (Psalm 2:4).

Sadness, Sorrow and regret are inconsistent with the Life that God has given to you in Christ. You were born into a life of unending joy, victory and advantage, thus laughter ought to be an integral part of your daily routine. People who don't laugh are usually weighed down by the cares of this world. They believe life is "serious business" and as such, they hardly find any reason to smile, let alone laugh. But laughter is therapeutic as well as spiritual.

That's why the Bible declares that "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones" (Proverbs 17:22). Why wouldn't you laugh when you know that you're more than a conqueror? Why shouldn't you laugh when you know that all things work together for your good?

It doesn't matter what comes against you in life, learn to laugh your way to victory. Refuse to allow circumstances to dictate your happiness. The opening Scripture shows us that God laughs at the rantings of His enemies. Like your heavenly Father, learn to laugh the enemy to scorn when he starts throwing his tantrums at you. When tough times come, that's the time to laugh, for there's absolutely nothing the enemy could do to harm you.

No wonder Apostle James admonished that you ''count it all joy when you go through diverse tests"(James 1:2). If you've been facing trying times, I recommend to you ''laughing sessions." Sit all by yourself and meditate on the victorious life Christ has brought you into and begin to laugh! At first, you might even look ridiculous to yourself, but keep at it. It won't be long before the anointing comes on you, and you'll find yourself declaring the Word of God that'll change things.

Refuse to allow the circumstances of life to control your happiness; it's your set time to laugh your way to victory.

CONFESSION
I'm laughing my way through life, from victory to victory and from glory to glory! I laugh at the devil, and challenging circumstances because I know I can never be disadvantaged. I'm soaring high on the wings of the Spirit; my mouth is filled today today with laughter and my tongue with the songs of triumph, in Jesus' mighty Name. Amen.

Success is not determined by how much 'stuff' u can acquire or how famous u become. Success is having people aspire to your inspiration. It is influencing people to have a paradigm shift(ie change their way of seeing things).
When you think success, think Oprah(she influences Americans culturally), think Martin Luther King (he influenced the mindset of racial equality) think Apostle Paul (He has influenced people for thousands of years with the message of the Christ).
Actors, musicians, reality 'stars' etc are famous but unless they see a problem and move toward influencing a point-of-view shift in order to benefit people(experiencing the problem) then they are just famous people with easy access to 'stuff'.

Look at that statement carefully, look at the responsibility and freedom of that statement! I was so excited the first time I got insight into it.

You are the one to make your way prosperous. It's not up to another person, not even God. What power! What freedom!
So how do you make your way prosperous? You meditate on God's Word(His instructions, how He thinks and does things), studying and speaking it continually, that way you'll observe(see, understand, have esoteric knowledge) of how to do His Word.
The result is that your path will be prosperous and successful.

Just like the woman with the issue of blood, who pulled her healing out of Jesus' clothes(without his participation), the results you desire are completely up to you!

Believe The Best Of Others

...Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesn't want what it doesn't have. Love... Puts up with anything; Trusts God always, always looks for the best, never looks back, but keeps going to the end (1 Corinthians 13:4,7 MSG).

As Christians, we ought to provide a sense of security for one another. I like the idea of living freely among God's people as the Bible admonishes us to. That's how it ought to be. You shouldn't clam up and want to be on your guard always because of some negative reports you heard about others. That's why it's important to walk in love, for love always believes the best about others.

Some people love to gossip; they are busybodies in other people's affairs, and the Bible warns us not to be that way! Such folks sow seeds of discord among brethren and attempt to pollute the whole Church with strife, "speaking things which they ought not" (1 Timothy 5:13). It's unsafe to hang around such people for they only spread resentment and rancour. Many churches have had troubles because of them.

When you hear negative reports about people, your reaction is what determines whether you're walking in love or not. Always be ready to believe only the best about everyone. Never criticize anyone. Never write anyone off, just because of what you heard they said or did. When you hear a fellow believer defaming or tale-bearing about another brother or sister, correct him or her immediately, in love. We often make the mistake of keeping quiet when we know people are saying the wrong things about others. By such we become accomplices for giving them a hearing ear. If you shut your ears, they'll shut their mouths.

Jesus chose to believe the best about His disciples. He knew, for example, that Peter was going to deny Him, yet He said to him, "...Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren." (Luke 22:31-32). Choose to believe the best in others today, for that's the love-way; the way of victory!

CONFESSION
My heart is full of love, because the love of God has been deposited in my spirit by the Holy Ghost. I make a choice today to love everyone that I meet, and speak and believe the best of everyone, irrespective of how they may treat me. I will cover those I meet with grace, and shielf them with my umbrella of love, in the Name of Jesus.

Rhapsody of Realities March 15, 2011

Trelan's notes:
Above, Pastor Anita advises that we believe the best in others. Did you know that as lovely as that is there's also a spiritual component to that? When you sow strife/discord, badmouthing others, you're setting up yourself of reaping a harvest of the same? Not only that, but there is a secret that folks aren't often aware of; when someone fights against you without a cause, they've halted their progress indefinately until you surpass them.

"And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? "(1 Corinthians 3:3)

Apostle Paul showed us that people who function in strife are carnal, babies in Christ and mere men. Not as children of the Most High God. Remember Jesus (in John 10:34 ) mentions your status; "Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?". He was referring to Psalm 82:6 "I have said, Ye [are] gods; and all of you [are] children of the most High."
But how can you function in the supernatural when you've anchored down yourself with strife?
In general negative behaviour and emotions weaken your spirit; opening the door for the devil to accuse you, and demons to torment you.

Dominion Over All Things!

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith (1 John 5:4).

The Lord Jesus made this world. The Bible says without Him was not anything made that was made (John 1:3). Thus, everything was subject to Him and He exercised dominion over all things. He tamed and overcame the world, and the forces of nature were subject to Him. When He spoke, demons quaked and fled; maimed limbs were restored; corpses came back to life; deaf ears were unstopped; blind eyes popped open, the boisterous winds calm! Jesus exercised dominion over all things; animate or inanimate. He tamed and transcended the laws of nature. He was never a victim!

Did you know that Jesus gave us the same dominion over the world, to tame the forces of nature and transcend them? He's given us power and authority to rule, dominate and tame the circumstances of life! Thus, with your, words you rule the world; you frame your world!

As one who's born again, your words are not empty; they have conquering and prevailing power! So reign in your world and excercise dominion over satan, and the cohorts of darkness by speaking faith-filled words. The Bible says where the word of a king is there's power (Ecclesiastes 8:4). The victory is in your mouth! Declare today that you're what God says you are; a victor not a loser.

Your destiny in God is to reign in life TODAY; not in the sweet-by-and-by: "And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth"(Revelation 5:10). We have been made kings and priests unto God, not as victims, but to reign and excercise dominion in the earth. You're to excercise dominion over sickness, disease, failure, death and all negativisms of life, for you're a prince of power with God.

CONFESSION
I'm not ordinary; I'm more than a conqueror, a victor in this life. I refuse to be a victim; with the Word of God in my mouth, I reign over the elements of this world, subdue kingdoms, produce righteousness and live the glory-life in Christ Jesus, through faith, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Never Criticize Something You Desire

For wrath killeth the foolish man, and envy slayeth the silly one (Job 5:2).

Often times
, people get critical and envious of others instead of seeing the good done by them; it's an ugly spirit! Never allow it in your life. This ugly attitude was what moved Saul to try to kill David after David killed Goliath: "And Saul sought to smite David even to the wall with the javelin; but he slipped away out of Saul's presence, and smote the javelin into the wall..." (1 Samuel 19:10).

Saul was envious of David's success, because of how others praised him: "And the women answered one another as they played, and said, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands"(1 Samuel 18:7). I've often said that fact that someone else is succeeding doesn't mean you're failing; you measure success by what God has called you to do. So when you see those who are doing well, and are being praised for their work, rejoice with them! Be genuinely excited for them! Rather than become bitter or critical, look out for what you can learn from them!

People become jealous and envious only when they are inordinately desirous of another's advantages. If you walk in love, you'll never be jealous of anyone, for you know you couldn't ever be disadvantaged in any way!

As members of the same body of Christ, the success of one is the success of all; when one wins, he wins for us all! That's because God's desire is for every one of us to prosper and excel! Thus, instead of being threatened by the prosperity of others, be happy for them, and never criticize them for it.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the assurance I have in your love for me. I have no reason to be envious or desirous of another's success for I know that I have a peculiar calling and destiny to fulfill in you! I demonstrate your life to others today, and rejoice with them as they make progress, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Developing An Effective Personally

But you shall recieve power(ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you,...(Acts 1:8 AMP)

Often, people ask how they can become more effective in their work or in life generally; they want to know how to develop an effective personality. Well, irrespective of the job you do, God wants you to be an effective person, not just at your job, or in restricted areas of your life but all-round. If you're an effective person, you'll be effective in anything. That's why you have to develop an effective personality.

The Holy Spirit living in you already gives you the advantage, for we read in our opening verse that "...
you shall recieve power(ability, efficiency(or effectiveness), and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you..." It is one thing to have or recieve something, but another thing to recognize, cultivate it and put it to work. So how then do you develop yourself into an effective personality, having received the Holy Spirit? Firstly, be focused. Maintain a clear focus on the goal, target or task at hand. If it's your job, an assignment or a special project, whatever it is, have a clear focus.

Secondly, have a good understanding of the subject matter; understand the job definition and requirements for the project or task and everything that has to do with your expectations. In other words, know what needs to be done, and the results expected. Then thirdly, have a clear determination for real success-lasting success. You've got to be determined, motivated, challenged and driven by the joy of success.

Then, fourthly, corresponding action; you've got to act. You can't lazy away and expect things to work; you must take the necessary action. Those who win in life in any field are those who take action, so take the necessary action. Then finally, be consistent and dilligent! Stick with the task at hand. Stay on the job till it's done; don't make or accept excuses for failure. Refuse mundanity and choose to be absolutely proficient. And then of course, recognize and take advantage of the wisdom of God that's available to you in Christ Jesus. If you'd put all these to work, you'll be effective and successful in what you do.

CONFESSION
Christ is my wisdom therefore I'm wise, I have the wisdom to do whatever I need to do. I function today at my best potentials because the wisdom of God works in me, talking through me, leading me, guiding me and causing me to be effective and productive in everything I lay my hands to do, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
