Your Tongue Controls Your Life

Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! (James 3:4-5)

A rudder is a small piece or structure of wood or metal attached upright to the stern of a boat or ship that sets it on course to a desired direction. The captain uses it to direct wherever he wants.

The Apostle James in our opening scripture likened the tongue to the rudder of a great ship. Though so little, the tongue can accomplish anything-- good or bad "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof"(Proverbs 18:21). The life you have today is the result of your tongue-work; everything you've been saying. Your words direct the course of your destiny, positively or otherwise; never forget that.

The Bible says "For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body"(James 3:2). Your tongue is the tool by which you chart your course in life. This means you actually have control over your life through your tongue; you can determine the quality of life you live here on earth. This is the reason you shouldn't talk poverty, defeat, sickness or death; rather, talk prosperity, victory, success, health and life, and that's what you'll have in your life.

Steer "your ship"--your life-- in the direction of God's destiny for you, with your tongue. Make a choice to speak  the right words of faith about yourself, and you'll have a glorious and successful life.

CONFESSION
I have a glorious and successful life because I'm born of God and filled with the Holy Spirit who teaches me and guides me the path of life! I walk in righteousness, abundance, health, peace, joy, prosperity and continuous victory today and everyday of my life. Praise God.

Snatched from Twitter! Yet another compilation

On Monday 23rd May 2011, said:
Dear Heavenly Father, I make a conscious decision to forgive anyone that's ever hurt me; that's ever lied to me/about me, that's ever hurt my family members. God if I feel you let me down, I even release and forgive you. I forgive myself for wrong decisions. I release the past, and I let it go!

I make a decision right now to receive forgiveness from having unforgiveness. I want to be walking close with you again, my God and saviour. I receive restoration, and I receive the power from heaven that's released when forgiveness is granted.

Father, I thank you that you're touching people. Every mental tormenting spirit, every physical pain, every problem must leave now! From fibromyalgia, to arthritis, mental stresses and all phobias; your power's broken now in the name of Jesus!

Mix Faith With Prophecies

Don’t fool yourself into thinking that you are a listener when you are anything but, letting the Word go in one ear and out the other. Act on what you hear! (James 1:22 MSG).

2 Chronicles 20 gives us an account of how King Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah sought help from the Lord when they were faced with threats of war from powerful enemy nations. God, in helping them, didn’t raise an army to defend Judah against their enemies. Rather He ministered to them through prophecy. He anointed a man in their midst named Jahaziel, and he brought forth a word from God to comfort Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah saying, “… Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed…Ye shall not need to fight in this battle…to morrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you” (2 Chronicles 20:15-17).

King Jehoshaphat and the people received the word of prophecy gladly. They didn’t argue or try to reason out in their heads how God was going to help them defeat their enemies; they knew that if God said it, then it was done! Thus, they aligned their plans and acted on the words of exhortation, edification and comfort that came forth under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. As far as they were concerned, God had spoken to them through the words of prophecy Jahaziel gave, and they ran with it and had the victory they required!

The Bible tells us not to despise prophecies (1 Thessalonians 5:20), for they’re the tools and weapons we need to fight and win in our fight of faith. Paul exhorting young Timothy said, “Timothy, my child, I entrust to you this command, which is in accordance with the words of prophecy spoken in the past about you. Use those words as weapons in order to fight well” (1 Timothy 1:18 GNB). In other words, Paul was admonishing Timothy, and of course the rest of us to act on prophecies—prophecies that you’ve judged to be consistent with the Word of God! Rejoice when you receive such words in your spirit.

When the Word of God is spoken forth in power, under the inspiration of God’s Spirit, whether by foretelling of future events, or as a “rhema-word,” it produces results. However, we must as always, mix the Word with faith to obtain the expected results.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the power of your good and eternal Word that’s at work in me today, having embraced it as the more sure Word of prophecy—to live by, and build my life on! By the power of your Word, I fight to win in the good fight of faith today, and every day, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Psalm 82 - Are you gods?

What do Psalm 82 and John 10:34-36 mean to you? Jesus, the son of the Living God, said that people to whom the Word of God comes are themselves gods; according to God Himself (in Psalm 82). This means that if YOU have received the Word of God in you, then you are a child of the Most High God (El Elyon) and a god.

God calls on such men to judge righteously, and stop accepting the evil behaviours of the purveyors of darkness. And to bring healing to the downtrodden and the weak. Sexual proclivities that only lead to diseases, death and destructions are widely accepted today as being "good" even by people who have accepted the Word of God, as a result, incurable diseases run rampant in the lives of many. Many of the people engaged in such behaviours are prisoners of a negative self-image, based on pain in their formative years. We are called to bring life to those people and health to their spirits and flesh.

But the problem of the gods is that they are unnaware of their standing(ie position and status) in God. Like he said in Psalm 82:5, they are ignorant of this and they refuse to understand, so they walk on in darkness(confusion, ignorance, chaos) and as a result, the entire world is in turmoil.

Consequentially, like men, these gods fall victim to circumstances and situations. Heed the Word of God and take your place as a Magistrate in this realm!

Psalm 82 (King James Version)

Psalm 82

1God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
2How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
3Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
4Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
5They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
6I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
7But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
8Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

John 10:34-36 (KJV)
34Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
 35If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
36Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

Psalm 82 (Amplified Bible)

Psalm 82

A Psalm of Asaph.
1GOD STANDS in the assembly [of the representatives] of God; in the midst of the magistrates or judges He gives judgment [as] among the gods.
2How long will you [magistrates or judges] judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!
3Do justice to the weak (poor) and fatherless; maintain the rights of the afflicted and needy.
4Deliver the poor and needy; rescue them out of the hand of the wicked.
5[The magistrates and judges] know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in the darkness [of complacent satisfaction]; all the foundations of the earth [the fundamental principles upon which rests the administration of justice] are shaking.
6I said, You are gods [since you judge on My behalf, as My representatives]; indeed, all of you are children of the Most High.
7But you shall die as men and fall as one of the princes.
8Arise, O God, judge the earth! For to You belong all the nations.

John 10:34-36 (AMP)
34Jesus answered, Is it not written in your Law, I said, You are gods?
35So men are called gods [by the Law], men to whom God's message came--and the Scripture cannot be set aside or cancelled or broken or annulled--
36[If that is true] do you say of the One Whom the Father consecrated and dedicated and set apart for Himself and sent into the world, You are blaspheming, because I said, I am the Son of God?

Put Away Fleshly Religion

For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh (Philippians 3:3).

The Apostle Paul used the Scripture above to chide religious Jews who criticized the Gentiles and considered them unserious Christians because they weren't obeying the law. As far as those religious Jews were concerned, if you don't pray seven times a day, or turn towards Jerusalem when you prayed, and performed all ceremonial washings as stipulated in the Law, then you were not a Christian. They believed in the gospel of performance--trying to impress God with their good works.

But that doesn't work. Paul said there's no use having confidence in your so-called good works, for that's not Christianity. As Christians, we don't rely on our own works of righteousness to answer for us before God. Paul revealed how worthless it is for anyone to boast in such pharisaic conducts as observing the rudiments of the law: "...If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more: Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless."(Philippians 3:4-6)

Paul displayed his credentials as far as obeying the Law was concerned. There was no jot of the law he didn't fulfil as a Jew, yet he said: "I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith" (Philippians 3:8-9).

This is the summary of the gospel: to be found in Christ, not having your own righteousness, but embracing God's righteousness which is through the faith of Christ. Don't try to impress God with your religious performances--don't try to please Him by obeying the Law. The Law and its ordinances were abolished through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:15). Therefore put away religion, and be a Christian!

PRAYER
I embrace the righteousness which is through the faith of Christ, for I am of the true circumcision which worship God in the Spirit and rejoice in Christ Jesus and have no confidence in the flesh.

Through Fellowship You Know His Will

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen (2 Corinthians 13:14).

What the Lord wants is for us -His children- to operate at a much higher level where our thoughts, words and actions are absolutely in sync with His perfect will for our lives. This is possibly only when you've learnt the secret and power of consciously spending time with Him in fellowship. Spending time in fellowship with the Holy Spirit and the World will help you know what God wants for you; it will get you in sync with His perfect will for your life.

Some have gotten into the wrong jobs, wrong businesses and even the wrong relationships because they weren't careful to recognize and follow the guidance and leading of the Spirit. Meditating on the Word and fellowshipping with the Spirit are important for you to walk in God's perfect will. Apostle Paul had a very successful ministry while he was on earth, and one of his secrets was that he spent time in fellowship with the Lord, to know His will. In 1 Corinthians 14:18, he tells us: "I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all...

Paul spent a great deal of time praying the will of Father, in other tongues. Little wonder he gloriously fulfilled his calling and destiny in God. His life was in sync with God's perfect will. This is what the Lord wants; for your life to be in sync with His perfect will for you! He wants you to fellowship with Him through the Spirit and the Word to know His will and walk in it.

Romans 8:14 says "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." In place of prayer and meditation there's communion; a rubbing of minds and "drinking together" with the Spirit such that you override the limitations of human reasonings and understanding. That's when you're able to discern the perfect will of the Father and walk in it! You're able to make the right choices and decisions and take the right actions.

This is God's desire for you; that you walk at a high level with Him, knowing His will, intent and purposes concerning every situation. And this is only possible as you fellowship or participate with Him through prayer, studying the Word and meditation.

PRAYER
Thank you Father for giving me the Holy Spirit, by whom I've been called into fellowship with you, and with your Son Jesus Christ! I'm taught, directed, strengthened and energized to know and function in your perfect will today, as I fellowship with you, in Jesus' Name. Amen!

Psalm 150

When the praises go up, God's glory comes down. When you praise God, an atmosphere for miracles is created because He shows up immediately. Join me in praising our true and living God:

Psalm 150 (King James Version)

1Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
2Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
3Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.
4Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
5Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
6Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

The "Fourth Man" In The Fire

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me (Psalm 23:4).

In Daniel chapter three, we read the inspiring story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who were bound and thrown into fiery furnace for furnace for refusing to bow to king Nebuchadnezzar's idol.  Nebuchadnezzar's command was so urgent, and the fire so intense that the soldiers who threw the three young Hebrew men into the furnace were scorched to death instantly.

But then, right inside the fire, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego remained unhurt! A "fourth man" was inside the fire with them, and cushioned them against the effect of the raging inferno. At the sight of this, the Bible says "And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. " (Daniel 3:23-25).

Notice how he described the "fourth man" in the fire; he said, "and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God." That "fourth man" was the Holy Spirit! He ensured that the fire didn't hurt Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego: "...not a hair of their heads was singed; their coats were unscorched, and they didn't even smell of smoke" (Daniel 3:27 TLB).
Nebuchadnezzar was humbled by this miracle and declared, "Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, for he sent his angel to deliver his trusting servants when they defied the king's commandment"(Daniel 3:28 TLB).That was no ordinary angel, but the Holy Spirit Himself!

The Lord never promised that you wouldn't go through the fire, but that when you walk through the fire you shall not be burnt; neither shall the flame kindle upon you (Isaiah 43:2). The Holy Spirit, "the fourth man in the fire," will be right there to protect you, and bring you out victoriously from any adversity. No wonder He's called the friend that sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24); His presence with you and in you guarantees your victory on every count!

PRAYER
Dear Holy Spirit, my trust is in you to help, guide, lead and protect me today and always! I appreciate and acknowledge your indwelling and eternal presence in my life in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Take Possession From Your Spirit!

He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end (Ecclesiastes 3:11) .

Another rendering of the underlined portion of the scripture above says "...he hath set the world in their heart" God has set eternity in your heart, meaning there's no limit to the extent and reach of what you can possess with your spirit. You have the capacity to contain eternity itself in your spirit.

This was how Abraham became the possessor of the whole earth. When the Lord said to him "...Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:  For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for eve" (Genesis 13:14-15), he knew the Lord wasn't talking about physical lands. By faith, he saw the whole world with the spiritual eyes and possess it(Romans 4:13).

Whatever you want in this world, once you can see it inside first, and then take possession with your spirit, you've gotten it! So start practicing how to see and take possession from your spirit, for that's where God guides you from. He doesn't function in the realm of the mind or senses. With your faith, you can take businesses, corporation, cities, nations and open the doors of every nation to the influence of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! The things you see with your eyes of faith, and take possession in the realm of the spirit will manifest physically as you speak them forth.

Remember, if eternity can dwell in your heart, much less the whole world! Little wonder that Proverbs 4:23 says out of our hearts are the issues of life; meaning that today, you can bring forth anything you want from within your spirit.

CONFESSION
By my faith I've taken possession of my inheritance in Christ Jesus! Being an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ, I declare that the whole world is mine; I've been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, therefore I'm thoroughly furnished and fortified with all things I need for life and godliness. Blessed be God!

Trelan's notes:
If you've been following previous posts you would understand that once you are able to picture that which you desire, it has to manifest. Adding a feeling of joy and the sensations of ownership of that which you've visualized, along with thanking God for it, means you've now taken possession of it with your spirit.

The emotions of joy, and gratitude pulls the desired thing out of the spirit realm and into the physical faster. In much the same way that someone who has immense self-pity, constantly seeing themselves as victims, feeling victimized, recieve more of what they picture and feel.
Emotions are vehicles for heart memory. You remember events of the past because of how it made you feel and how it affected the image you had (often of yourself). Learn to visualize your desire, have the emotions of  ownership, joy and gratitude for it, and verbally thank God.

Benefits Of Showing Gratitude

In every circumstance of life be thankful; for this is God's will in Christ Jesus respecting you (1 Thessalonians 5:18 WNT).

"Thank you!" is one of the most powerful phrases to utter. It conveys a heartfelt appreciation that leaves in the heart of the hearer an indelible impression of your sincere gratitude. Strangely, some find it difficult to show grattitude even when occasion warrants it. It matters that you express gratitude and exude a grateful spirit at all times.

The Lord Jesus had an encounter with ten lepers one day. They cried out to Him for mercy on them and the Master told them to go and show themselves to the priest. That was already a sign to them, for according to the Law, a leper would only go to the priest to confirm he had been cleansed of his leprosy. While on their way, they discovered they had been cleansed. The Bible says, "one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks..." (Luke 17:15-16). he lavishly expressed gratitude.

The Lord Jesus however, observed that out of ten men that were healed, only one returned to say, "Thank you, Lord" He then turned to the one who returned to show gratitude and said, "Your faith has made you whole" (Luke 17:19). His extremities were restored to him! He received something more than healing; he was made whole. The man wasn't expecting this; all he came for was to say "Thank you" and he received a greater miracle than the others.

It pays to be a grateful person! Always be quick to say "Thank you." Train yourself to express gratitude. carry that joyful atmosphere of thankfulness with you everywhere! When you learn to express gratitude to God and to people for what they do for you, angels will always be mobilized on your behalf, and you will experience even more favour, joy and promotion in your life. Cultivate the lifestyle of gratitude, for it attracts blessings and favour to you.

PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for teaching me the importance of expressing gratitude. I will never neglect to say, "Thank you" for the favours and kindness shown towards me. I thank you for giving me a heart that is thankful, and for helping me express profuse and unfeigned gratitude to everyone whom you use to bless me and do things for me, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Have The Determination To Finish

...I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7).

Did you ever see an athlete who sprinted off the blocks in a race but then sustained muscle cramps or tired out midway into the race? Though he was ahead of the others at the start, he didn't get the medal because he didn't finish the race. That's the way some people are in life. They may have started out with great enthusiasm and excitement in carrying out the responsibilities committed to them but they don't finish well- they burn out along the way.

When  a responsibility is committed to you, ensure you put your best into it and discipline yourself to finish it well and strong. No matter how well you take off on a task, you must have a strong determination for an excellent finish. The Bible says the end of a matter is better than the beginning (Ecclesiastes 7:8). So it's not all about starting out a project, a journey or an endeavour; there must also be the determination to finish well and finish strong.

The Apostle Paul, at the twilight of his life declared with confidence, "...I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith "(2 Timothy 4:7). He was determined from the outset to accomplish that which God called him to do, recognizing no obstacles. His determination was to glorify God by fulfilling his ministry with excellence. In Phillipians 3:13, he said, "Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before." Even though he was already doing well in his assignment, his goal was an excellent finish.

At your work place, be the one who can be depended upon to see a project through to an excellent end. Don't be that person who always starts things out but never completes them. Choose to be different. Have the determination for an excellent finish. Stick with the task at hand until it's excellently accomplished.

PRAYER
Dear Lord, I thank you that I have the grace, ability and discipline to stick with the accomplish the tasks that you have for me today! By the power of the Holy Spirit that's at work in me, I will bring these tasks to an excellent finish, in the Name of the Lord Jesus. Amen.

Confess Who You Are!

We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak (2 Corinthians 4:13).

When the Lord said to Abram "Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee." (Genesis 17:5), the man was still childless. But because he had faith, he immediately began to call himself "Abraham" (father of many). He didn't wait to see the physical children before he confessed who he was; he believed and therefore spoke out that he was the father of many. He wasn't confessing it to make it happen; rather, he was confessing it as the reality.

This is the faith-attitude that God wants us to emulate. Our opening scripture shows us that faith believes and therefore speaks. In other words, when you're operating by the spirit of faith, you don't speak or confess something to make it happen; nor do you try to convince yourself that what you're saying exists. Instead, the reason you're confessing the Word is because you already believe in your heart that what you're saying is real before giving voice to it. By your confessing you're establishing that which you've already believed to be real.

This is where some have misunderstood faith; they're not speaking because they've believed. they're speaking to believe. It explains why they get frustrated when things don't turn out as they expected. Faith is the evidence that what you hoped for is now a reality (Hebrews 11:1), and that's why your confession must be based on what you've believed in your heart, not the other way around. If you have evidence of something, it gives you the confidence to speak of it boldly. In the same way, when you believe that what God has said about you is the reality, you're bold to declare it, notwithstanding what the devil, circumstances or even your mind may tell you.

So today, be bold to confess who you are: you're a new creation in Christ Jesus, born with the life, nature and power of God in your spirit! Therefore satan, sickness, disease and death can no longer have dominion over you! You're an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ, therefore prosperity is your birthright! Learn to confess the Word like this all the time, not so it will happen but because that's the reality about who you are.

CONFESSION
I am what God says I am. I can do what He says I can do, and I have what He says I have. My faith is the evidence that everything  God has said concerning me is my present-hour possession. I have a sound mind and I can do all things through Christ, who energizes me! Glory to God!

Trelan's notes on believing:

I've found out that believing God is not hard at all. For me, it means is to agree with Him. I know that God loves me, and no one has to convince me of the magnificence of his works, all I have to do is look around. His Word created the world, so now I have to decide if I want trust His Word or my present circumstance. I decide wise thing is to agree with God and stand against present situations. This is how beleiving works.

Beleiving is agreement, acceptance and allowance (often with emotions attached). It is completely within your control. Unbelief is not "no belief"(everyone believes something!), instead, it is believing in something else that goes against the current Word that requires your belief. It is agreeing with something else. Fortunately, you get to decide what report you're going to agree with. Choose Life!

Benefits Of Walking In Love

By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another (John 13:35).

Love is the most potent force in the universe. Little wonder the Bible declares that love never fails (1 Corinthians 13:8). Love is the nature of God. In other words, not only is God a loving heavenly Father, He is love personified. He functions by the love principle and as His kids we're to do the same. Walking in love therefore ought to come natural with you as a child of God.

Jesus said "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another" (John 13:35). He lets us know that walking in love is the most essential quality to be manifested by the believer. That's what makes you a true disciple. You can change your relationships for better if you'll learn to walk in love towards everyone around you. Walking in love will make you overlook any offence or ill-treatment from maybe an antagonistic inlaw, an uncoorperative brother or sister, a nagging boss, or an obstinate subordinate.

When you walk in love, you learn to separate the offenders from their offences; you refuse to judge people by their actions. That way, you hear their voice differently and view their actions and motives differently. Determine within yourself to walk in love towards everyone around you, and it will be easy for you to overlook the hurtful words and actions of others.

The Bible says "the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost..." (Romans 5:5). Thus you don't have to struggle to walk in love, since the love of God is a product of your recreated human spirit. Walking in love makes you honourable and brings out the glory of God in you, for to manifest love is to manifest God, since God is love.

It doesn't matter how unkind and unfriendly some folks may get towards you, love them all the same. When you walk in love you'll never fail or stumble in life, for love never fails. Prove that you're indeed a true disciple: "walk in love, as Christ also loved us and gave himself for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour" (Ephesians 5:1-2).

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for giving me a heart that loves at all times. It's impossible for me to hate or be resentful because your love saturates my hearth and by your Spirit, I'm manifesting this love to everyone around me through my words and actions, in Jesus' Name.

Let Nothing Stop You!

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace (Romans 6:14).

There're too many today in the church who are overburdened by the weight of sin-consciousness- the feeling that they've sinned or have done something wrong. Satan uses this as a weapon to keep them in bondage and make them ineffective. They constantly have this guilt-feeling that makes them think they're not qualified or good enough to be used of God.

What they need to realize is first, that the sin-problem has been dealt with by Jesus. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:21, "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." Sin is no longer a factor. Plus that, God is not a man (Numbers 23:19), and doesn't judge or see the way men do. He enlisted you into the ministry to do His work and enjoy His best not because of your own good works or self-righteousness, but because of His faithfullness and grace: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" (Ephesians 2:8).

God has counted you faithful, putting you into the ministry(1 Timothy 1:12); therefore nothing and no sin should hinder your faith or dampen your zeal from doing from doing His work. remember you didn't call yourself to do His work, He called you; and before He called you He knew you. He knew all the mistakes you could ever make, yet He justified you and commissioned you to go in His Name and preach the Gospel to every creature. So you have to responsibility to do God's work; let nothing stop you.

2 Corinthians 3:5-6 says,  "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life." God did this in spite of you; He qualified you and made you an able minister of New Testament. He's already done it, and it's irrevocable Romans 11:29. Therefore refuse to allow sin or a guilt-conscience distract you from ministering to the Lord or from fulfilling your purpose as a minister of reconcilliation. Get busy for the Lord and stay on task as a soul-winner!

PRAYER
Blessed Father, I love you, and nothing can take my heart away from serving you and fulfilling your purpose for my life! I'll always bring you glory through service in your vinyard, and in the preaching of the Gospel, for that's what my life is for, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Encourage The Ministry Of Angels

But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?(Hebrews 1:13-14).

As Christians, we're surrounded by myriads of angels, and the Bible says they are ministering spirits for us. That means they're at our service, even though we don't see them with our physical eyes. Some folks are more conscious of demons than they are of angels, and that's sad. The truth is, they're far more angels than demons, which is why you must learn to encourage the ministry of angels in your life.

In encouraging the ministry of angels in your life, first you must recognize that angels are real and they've ever-present with you. When I was just getting introduced to their ministry years ago, if I needed to be woken up very early to pray, I'd pray a simple prayer, asking the Lord to wake me. Sure enough, I'd feel a tap on my arm and as soon as I opened my eyes, the clock would read the exact time I wanted to wake up. At other times, I'd hear an audible knock on my door at a time when the whole house was fast asleep. When I opened the door there'd be nobody there. The Lord was introducing me to the ministry of angels, and I've been conscious of their presence with me ever since.

Also, as you learn to act on the Word of God and confess it rightly, you're encouraging the ministry of angels in your life. Angels help to bring the Word of God that you speak to pass. When you speak negatively or confess doubt and unbelief, they can't act on your behalf.

You also encourage the ministry of angels in your life when you learn to be subject to spiritual authority. A person who is rebellious, full of grumbling and complaining will hardly have angels working for him.

So stay in the Word of God and make your confessions of faith. When you have supernatural experiences like the example I gave, don't dismiss it as a coincidence; give God the glory, for it's His angels working with you. That way, you'll experience more spectacular angelic manifestations.

CONFESSION
Angels, I charge you to go forth on my behalf and cause the good Word of God to come to pass in my life. As I release faith-filled words, see to it that the words I speak come to pass. I dispatch you this day to speedily deliver unto me the answers to my prayers and supplications which have already been answered by the Father.

The Benefits Of Self-Control

Do your best to improve your faith. You can do this by adding goodness, understanding, self control, patience, devotion to God (2 peter 1:5-6 CEV).

The Greek word Peter used which was translated "self-control" means "to hold yourself in", and the picture Peter had in mind, when he wrote this scripture, was that of an athlete who undergoes rigorous training in order to win a race. He pushes himself hard and denies himself of sleep or certain pleasures so as to optimize his performance. The athlete is willing to give up anything because he has a focus: he wants to win the prize. Put simply, he's self controlled.

In the same manner, every child of God must exercise self-control. You cant just do anything you desire; you must take charge of your life. If someone offended you for example, and in anger, you had decided to lash out on the person; but just before you got to him, you remembered the word of jesus in Luke 6:29: "...unto him that smitheth thee on the right cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away the cloak forbid not to take thy coat also." As a result, you decided not to retaliate; that means you're "holding yourself in" to serve a greater good.
That's self-control!

The Bible tells us that the man who has no control over his spirit is like a city whose walls are broken down (Proverbs 25:28). This means he's vulnerable, susceptible to the attack of the enemy and anything could bring him down. Proverbs 16:32 on the other hand equates the man who has self-control with the warrior who conquers a city.
Therefore, make up your mind today to develop and exercise self-control.

The christian who is self-controlled is well covered and gives no room to the devil. He doesn't do anything because he feels like; he has God's word as his defence and standard. His spirit has gained the mastery over his mind and his body. He knows what is the good, the acceptable and the perfect will of God, and can choose the perfect will to work in it (Romans 12:2). Take control of your life today, and do only those things that brings glory to the Name of Jesus.

CONFESSION
I take charge of my life today. I refuse any attitude, habit or lifestyle that is inconsistent with the gospel. I am full of love, patience and endurance. No matter what happens around me, I dont bow to the pressure. I hold myself in from within, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

The Benefits Of Talking Right

A small rudder on a huge ship in the hands of a skilled captain sets a course in the face of the strongest winds. A word out of your mouth may seem of no account, but it can accomplish nearly anything—or destroy it! It only takes a spark, remember, to set off a forest fire. (James 3:4-5 -The Message)

The Lord has done so much for us, but it's our responsibility to keep ourselves in the blessing. Just as the Lord told the children of Israel in the wilderness, He's saying to you today, "I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing" (Deuteronomy 30:19). Through your confession, you can choose what you want your life to be. Your mouth is the key that'll unlock the blessing in your life!

You can open the doors of life and blessing in your life with your mouth; and with the same mouth you can introduce death and curses as well. 1 Peter 3:10-11 says, "For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile" Through your tongue is small, it controls everything in your life; with it, you can chart your course unto a victorious life.

The Lord has given us the keys of the Kingdom of heaven, and that means we can use our mouths to unlock doors of blessings (Matthew 16:19). Therefore, you have to fill your heart with God's Word, "...for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh"(Matthew 12:34).

Proverbs 15:4 says, "A wholesome tongue is a tree of life..." There's no situation that can't be changed and no wound in your body that can't be healed. You can cause a change by making your tongue your own tree of life by declaring God's Word over your life and situation.

The fact that you can walk out of misery, poverty, lack, depression, unhappiness and death, is simply exciting. You can walk out of anything that demeans you today. All you need is to get into the good life by using your tongue right and your life will change.

PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for giving me the opportunity to chart the course of my life by my confession. As I fill my heart with your Word, let it come out of my lips with the power to cause the changes I desire, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
