Snatched From Twitter: Come up hither!

On Saturday 29th January 2011, said:

I heard a story during a discussion between Pastor Bill Winston and Pastor Kenneth Copeland, about how God thinks and how you should think.

A man from America went to one of the arab countries and did some merchandising business for them from the united states.

To show their appreciation, a member of the royal family wanted to give him a gift. He said "no Sir, you don't need to, we're professionals just doing our job". The royal member insisted that it was a part of his culture's custom to show their appreciation with gifts. So as not to offend them, the man relented and said "Ok just give me a golf club."

He flew back to the united states expecting he'd see UPS

any day now with that golf club. Two weeks at home, he heard a knock on the door; A gentleman standing there greets him with
"'scuse me, are you mister so and so?"
"yes I am"
"My name is so and so, and if you could please come with me; I'd like to take you to your golf club"

18 holes, golf club house, everything.

Isaiah 55:8-9 8

“ For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD.
9 “ For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts. ”

Here's a man thinking money's no object. The man that has no limits on his thinking thinks a whole country club while the other fellow is thing one golf stick.

God took the limit off you're life. You're the one who has put a limit on your life.

Get into God's Word and start seeing the way God sees.

Snatched from twitter: Man is a spirit

On Friday 28th January 2011, said:
Do you know who you are? Man is a spirit, he lives in a body, and he possesses a soul. When a person 'dies' in the natural, that means his spirit&soul;has departed from his body.
Your body resembles your spirit. Your body is like a form-fitting cat suit that takes the shape of your spirit. Your body is your home on earth. It is what makes you legally able to function in this physical realm.

Your soul has the attributes you acquire while here on earth. It comprises of your mind, emotions and will.

Your spirit is the real you. It is your very essence. Your spirit is what God created in His image(meaning you look like Him) and his likeness (meaning you function like Him). He made your body after creating you.

Your spirit has the task of formulating your path, after searching the commands you've given it. Your spirit is not your mind. It can communicate with your mind(through your connection with God's Spirit) but it's not your mind.

So how do you give your spirit a command to direct your path? You do so by the WORDS you speak and give ear to, and by the images you imbibe.
If your language is one of defeat, death, destruction etc, that is what your life will look like. That is the course you will travel. Where you are in life today is in direct relation to what words you heard and spoke yesterday. It is the picture you played yesterday.

Your spirit has the properties of air. All spirit is like the wind. Very few people allow themselves to see spirits, so it's very likely that you wont see spirits (unless you're a small child who doesn't debate spiritual existence and as such, hasn't disallowed seeing the spiritual)

We are not natural beings having a spiritual experience. Instead, we are spirits having a natural experience.

The Acts of God

Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths (Psalm 25:4).

Many were brought up under a system where out of ignorance, God was portrayed as a despot and a destroyer. They were taught in school that the earthquakes, tornadoes, floods, tsunamis and famines that have ravaged lives, cities and even nations are "the acts of God." But those are not acts of God. The Bible says "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning" (James 1:17). This simply lets us know that whatever is not good and helpful couldn't be from God, for He's a good God, and His gifts and acts are good all the time.

Sweet water and bitter water don't flow from the same fountain (James 3:11). Therefore, God, who is goodness personified, cannot at the same time be the one responsible for sufferings, destructions and disasters that take place in the world. The Bible shows us that the real destroyer is satan. He's the evil one responsible for the terrible disasters and catastrophes that steal people's health, joy, money or peace.

But thanks be unto God, the world is not at the mercy of satan and his filthy acts of destruction! God has given us the power to subdue, tame, and forbid satan from carrying out his manoeuvering and manipulative acts of wickedness around us: "Behold, I give unto you power to tread upon serpents and scorpians, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you" (Luke 10:19). Observe that it's God who gave us, His children, power over all the works of the enemy. Hence, He couldn't possibly be the one responsible for the works He gave us power to forestall.

Acts 10:38 lets us in on the kind of works or acts that can be ascribed to God: "How God appointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him." The devil is the one responsible for the evil and oppression in the world today; they're his works. But the Bible says in 1 John 3:8: "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. "

Every time you hear, see or read about a supernatural intervention in human affairs that defies conventional or natural sequence, resulting in the preservation of life and the general good of humanity, that is a miracle; and that is an act of God. God loves people and it's His pleasure to see them healthy, prosperous and normal. You can trust Him even now to bring His unlimited power to bear on your situation for you to recieve a miracle.

PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, I pray for the greater manifestions of your power in the Church so that your children, through the power of your Spirit and revelation of your Word, will experience your love continually, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

God Is A Spirit

As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations, before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were (Romans 4:17)

The Bible says that God is a Spirit (John 4:24). This means that the realm in which He operates is the realm of the spirit, and to Him, things in that realm are more real than the things in the physical realm that we see. To him, things that be not; things that don't appear real in the physical realm have already come to pass. I'll give you a good example of this, using the account of creation in Genesis.

Now when you read Genesis Chapter one, without studying further, you may get the impression that when God said "Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind," grass immediately began shooting out of the ground and trees instantly sprang up. But as you study further in chapter two, you'll find that even though God commanded the plants to come into being, and saw that they were good, They didn't spring up immediately because He needed a man to till the ground, and rain to water the plants (Genesis 2:4).

Why then does the Bible say that everything God commanded to become, became? Where were they? They were in the spirit! As far as God was concerned, they were real. For example, when He said to Abraham, ''I have made you a father of many nations"(Romans 4:17), the man didn't have any child, and was already well advanced in age-almost a hundred years old. His wife Sarah was barren, but to God, Abraham was already a father of many nations.

So when God says to you, "I have given you that job," don't just look to the physical structure of the organization to which you tendered an application. Receive it in the spirit first! How? By Faith! Lay hold to that word because to God, you already have the job; yours is to take possession. When He says "I have given you a child," don't look at your belly; recieve it first in the spirit!

If you must have a fruitful walk with God, you have to learn to see what he has given you first in the spirit. If you don't see it there, you'll never see it in the physical realm, for He's a Spirit and operates from the realm of the Spirit. That's why in blessing us, He didn't bless us with all the physical blessings in the world first, but with "all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus" (Ephesians 1:3). He did it that way because the spiritual is greater than the physical and gave birth to it.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for enlightening the eyes of my spirit today, through your Word, to see and recieve every good thing that belongs to me in Christ Jesus. As I see them, I call them real and walk in the reality of your manifold and eternal blessings, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

So how does one take possession of a thing by the spirit, you may be wondering.
You picture it in your possession. If it's a car, you picture yourself driving it. If it's a child, you might picture yourself raising him/her years from now. You picture the end results. God sees the end from the beginning, and so should you.

After you've picture those things, you open your mouth, raise your hands and give God thanks for those things. Keep in mind that you're giving thanks not because He's gonna give it to you, but because He's already given it to you.(Remember that all promises in Him are 'yea' and 'amen')

You then keep your proceeding language and actions in line with the spiritual possession you've taken. You don't want to nullify the spiritual process that's already in place.

When God wanted Abraham to see how great his offspring would be in numbers, he told him to look at the stars in the sky. You need to picture that thing you desire before you can get it physically.

You say : "I thank you for giving me [the thing you desire]"

That's how you take possession in the spirit.

God Always Says "Yes!"

For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us (2 Corinthians 1:20)

One time, Smith Wigglesworth was called upon to pray for a woman who had died. "It's no use," some folks said, trying to discourage him, but he wouldn't be discouraged. Rather, he started praying, and as he prayed it seemed as though the heavens were locked up with bronz gates, thus, preventing his prayers from going through. The more he prayed, the more it seemed God was saying "No she's already dead, forget about it!"

Instead of allowing his sences to dictate to him, he continued to earnestly in prayer till he got note of victory in his spirit. Suddenly he shouted, ''Yes! Yes! Yes! She's alive!" Then he stood her straight against the wall and said "In the name of Jesus, I command you to walk!" Instantly the woman began to walk. Hallelujah!

God never says no. I've heard some people say, "God always answers every prayer either by saying 'yes' or 'no'! He says 'yes' if He honours your request, and 'no' if He doesn't!" This sounds logical, but it sure doesn't measure up with the Character of God and what the Bible says. The Bible shows that all the promises of God in Christ are all "yes" (2 Corinthians 1:20); not "yes sometimes," and ''no some other times." In other words, if you ask according to His will, which means you ask in faith and in the Name of Jesus, His answer will definately be a "yes."

But if you ask with a heart full of doubt and unbelief, you've pushed the wrong codes, and that way, He won't hear you. It's like wanting to reach a friend on the phone and dialling the wrong number. You'll never be able to get through to him that way because even though you made a call, it was the wrong number. So when you pray and don't recieve an answer it's not because God said "no" to your request; He didn't hear you because you were praying amiss. You weren't praying according to His will-His Word: "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us"(1 John 5:14)

Understand that God never refuses His Kids any good thing; He never says "no"; it's not in His nature to withhold any blessing from His children. Therefore when you face challenges and it seems the world is against you, just laugh, for your heavenly Father is more than willing to answer you speedily when you make your requests known unto Him.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for hearing me always, and granting my heart's desires each time I pray. I live joyfully everyday, knowing that all your promises to me in Christ Jesus are yes and amen; I'm living in the realities of my inheritance in Christ, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Ok Trelan's commentary here:

Don't get freaked out by the mention of "God's will" staring blankly at the computer screen with that puzzled look... *I raise my eyebrow at you* hahaha!
The first thing to understand is that God's will is God's Word. What does His Word say, and what does it say about you (yes, YOU- you need to personalize the scriptures when you read it! *smirk*).
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)

Another thing to clue on God's will for you is His very nature and attitude towards people. God is Love(His nature) and He loves all people(His attitude) so if you're praying for your enemies to get slammed by the next bus to Pitsburgh, know that hate and vindictiveness are outside His will and thus it wont get answered.

If you pray to be a blessing to others (and or) to improve your life/circumstances, or to recieve a healing etc, God's answer is already a yes.

Another part of His will is your faith. Faith = believing AND acting on that belief. So when you pray be conscious of the fact that you're connecting with God in a personal way. Believe His Word that his answer is 'yes'. Then start thanking him for answering your prayer, resting assured that it is done.

Read Deutoronomy 28:1-14 for his promises (you can read the rest of that chapter to understand the curses if u so choose- understand though that we are now under grace and not the law)

See It Inside First!

And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever (Genesis 13:14-15).

When God told Abraham to "Lift up his eyes and look," He wasn't referring to his physical eyes, but to the eyes of his spirit. He wanted the man to look into the realm of the spirit and see the realities of God's Kingdom. That's the realm where seeming impossible situations in this earthly realm become possible. However, the only way to see into this realm is through prayer and study of the Word.

The Word of God is "Light" (1 John 1:7); when you start walking in the light of God's Word, the realm of the spirit will come alive to you and you'll start functioning from that realm, just like your heavenly Father. I remember the story of a certain woman and her six year-old daughter, who both had polio and were brought to a healing meeting with a certain minister. After a session of prayers for the sick, the six year-old girl got healed immediately, but her mother wasn't and wished she had been healed like her daughter.

About four years later, after listening to some tapes by the same minister on healing, she got healed! How? As she listened to the Word of God, she was able to see into the realm of the spirit and saw that there was no sickness or disease in her body! Soon as she got a hold of that PICTURE, nothing could stop her healing from manifesting in the physical. That's living from the inside out! You need to see that miracle you desire first by your eyes of your spirit.

You can live free of sickness, poverty, failure, and suffering if you'd only turn the light of God's Word on your life. That way, you'll see the real you, and the realities of the glorious, prosperous and successful life God has called you to.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for your Word, which is a light unto my path and a lamp unto my feet. As I study your Word today, let the eyes of my understanding be flooded with light, that I may see, understand and take advantage of all you've prepared for me in Christ, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Greater Truths And Lesser Truths

And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also (Genesis 1:16)

In the Scriptures, "light" symbolizes "truth." As two great lights the Lord made (the sun and the moon), one being greater than the other, so are the greater truths and lesser truths revealed to us in the Word of God. All the wonderful truths revealed to us in the gospel don't rank equally; some are greater than others. Your desire should be to always function in the revelation of the greater truths. Studying the life of the Lord Jesus will show you clearly how to walk in the greater truths of God's Word.

Divine healing, for example, is a truth and a blessing from God; it's wonderful to know that no matter the nature of the sickness, you can recieve healing. But there's a greater truth to that, and it's the fact that you can live in divine health everyday of your life; I'm talking about a state where you're sickness, disease and infirmity free- never needing to be healed. We never read in the Bible that one day, Jesus had a cold or headache or contracted the flu, and then sent Peter to assemble the other disciples to pray for Him to be healed. He lived in divine health.

The Bible refers to healing as the children's bread (Matthew 15:26). In other words, it is children (spiritual babes) that require healing. As you mature in the things of the Spirit you leave the good things for the best-you move from asking for healing to living in divine health. That's when you've chosen to see and live by the greater light.

Deliverance is also a great truth, but living in divine protection is a greater truth. All through the ministry of Jesus, He never needed to be set free or delivered from the devil or any trouble. There's something greater and better than you getting into trouble for God to bring you out of it; that's divine protection-God shielding you completely from trouble. That's the greater truth, and that's the revelation by which you ought to live.

So, in your life, put the Word to work, for the Word is the true light (John 1:9, 17:17). Measure your life's experiences with the Word and the life of the Lord Jesus, and function continually in the greater truths of God's Word.

PRAYER
Dear Lord Jesus, my gaze is fixed on you and your eternal Word, to guard and guide me in life. You're my perfect example and I purpose to function always in the greater revelations of your Word! Thank you Lord for your Spirit that enlightens my heart and causes me to grasp and walk in the deeper realities of the Kingdom! Amen.

DO SOMETHING!

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give him that needeth (Ephesians 4:28)

As a child of God, the Bible says whatsoever you do shall prosper (Psalm 1:3). Never be idle. Refuse to be jobless. If you don't have a job, make one. Find something you're good at; something that's good for God and good for people, and start doing it. Refuse to let your mind go to sleep. Don't loaf about like a hobo. Look inwards for creative ideas.

Someone may say, "I've searched for jobs everywhere, for ten years, to no avail; I'm getting frustrated." My question to you is "What can you do?" There must be something you're good at, find it and do it. Pastor Chris teaches that the first requirement for success is looking out for a human need, and then reaching out to meet that need. So don't wait for someone to give you a job, make one! Before long, if you're diligent, what you started will grow and you'll be employing others.

Stop waiting; do something. Take a step of faith. When Jesus ministered to the sick, He always had them do something. He made them take a step of faith. To the fellow that was paralyzed and couldn't walk He said "Get up, take your bed and go home" (Mark 2:11). To the man who couldn't stretch forth his hand, He said "Stretch forth thine hand"; and when he did, his withered arm recieved strength and was restored (Mark 3:5).

So you see that God requires an effort on your part; He needs a point of contact for your miracle. Once you put in an effort; especially into that which He has inspired you to do, His miracle-power comes upon your efforts and His glory is revealed in what you do. The effort you put in becomes strengthened by His mighty hand. That's what's important-when God's touch comes upon your life, and His glory is revealed in what you do.

How did Joseph, a prisoner, end up as the Prime Minister of Egypt, next only to the Pharaoh? He did something. He used his gifts to serve others and God promoted him, and Joseph became the Prime Minister of Egypt. Search yourself; dig deep within you and discover the treasure and talents that you have. Put them to work and the annointing of the Lord will cause them to produce and multiply.

CONFESSION
I refuse to let my mind go to sleep! I'm bringing forth good things today from within me! For I know i have treasures in me with which to bless my world. Lord, I thank you for opening my eyes to know what I can do to impact my world for you. Amen.

No More "Shadowboxing"

...I fight to win. I'm not just shadowboxing or playing around (1 Corinthians 9:26 TLB).

Have you ever seen a boxer who is practising the punches without an opponent? It's part of training, to learn how to throw hypothetical punches at an imaginary adversary. However, the boxer's coach knows that no matter how great the man looks shadowboxing like that, he will only know his true ability when he gets in the ring to fight for the belt.

Many people have found themselves shadowboxing and not making any real progress in their lives. They're running the race of life aimlessly; they have a ticket to nowhere. Don't run aimlessly.

As you play the game of life, maintain focus. What are the definate things you plan to achieve? Set your heart on them and let nothing stop you from achieving your goals. Remember, with the Holy Spirit living in you, you have the wisdom and impetus to succeed in any endeavour. You have in you the yeast to rise. You're a winner and a victor in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for repositioning me through your WORD. I will not shadowbox this year and I will not run aimlessly or merely go through the motions. By the help of the Holy Ghost, I am yet achieving supernatural results in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Don't Consider The Circumstances

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18)

Talking about Abraham, the Bible says "...he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb..."(Romans 4:19).

He was a hundred years old when God told him he would have a son and call his name Isaac. Though he was already stricken with age, he refused to consider his body as being unable to reproduce! Niether did he consider the fact that Sarah's womb was dead. He was undeterred by the physical and natural evidences that challenged the Word of God. Everything he knew in this world, told him it was impossible for him to have a child. Yet, Abraham didn't consider all of those.

What then did he consider? The Word! He gave thought, attention and focus only on the Word that God had spoken to him.

Faith doesn't mean you don't feel the pain. Faith means, "I feel the pain alright, but I refuse to consider it; I refuse to let it dictate my actions." Never let what you see, how you feel, or anything contrary to God's Word run your life. God's words to you are "yea and amen"(2 Corinthians 1:20); that means they're settled and established. Your role is to believe them and give no place to doubt and unbelief.

CONFESSION
I have absolute faith in God and His unfailing and eternal Word! No contrary wind, circumstances or situation that I may face can dissipate my confidence in the Word of God to me! Through the power of God's Word, my faith prevails today in Jesus' Name. Amen.
